Janine Underhill, of IDEA-360, has come together with Continuum Consulting's Wendy White to create the FutureWave Consulting
Collaboratory.
"The Collaboratory" is a group of organizational consultants, visual
thinkers, experiential teachers, gifted storytellers, intuitive filmmakers
and social networkers who have teamed up to help individuals, communities
and organizations prepare for the unique challenges of the twenty-first
century.
To keep you updated on news and events as we navigate these uncharted
waters, we have created the The Wave Report. Subscribe now for news on new

Charting the Course for Supporting Sustainable Business In North
Carolina
In response to the pressing need for improved communication and
coordination, the Sustainable NC Business Council- (www.sustainnc.org)
partnered with FutureWave Consulting to host a unique and engaging
"collaboratory" on May 21st that took collaboration to a whole new level.
We brought together people from all sectors - nonprofits,
foundations, universities, government agencies, associations and businesses - to
work toward developing a comprehensive, accessible network of support for
creating, growing and attracting sustainable companies in our state.
True to the FutureWave Model; Our team of facilitators,
film makers, graphic facilitators and communication experts crafted a final

movement has already begun. FutureWave rolled out the PPF program in May for
the North Carolina Sustainability Business Council.
We asked ourselves...what could happen if we used our knowledge and experience to
give everyday community groups, business councils, non-profits and task forces
the same programs and consulting services that were previously only available to
major corporations? What could be created if they had access to programs and
processes that lead to innovation, dialogue and inspired action?

FutureWave is proud to
present our new podcast, "Catch the Wave!" In this inaugural episode,
Wendy and Janine sit down to introduce one of the most critical
concepts for anyone who is interested in navigating these uncharted
times: The Squint Factor. We are currently writing a book and shooting
a documentary that brings focus to the emergence of this new skill.

response, we are exploring the possibility of convening a nationwide Summit of
thought leaders. This is the perfect time for dialogue, innovation and action.

State Youth Council Meeting - High Point, NC - September 25th - 27th
In
September, 100 Teens from across North Carolina will gather for the
State Youth Council Meeting. FutureWave has been asked to
facilitate a leadership workshop. This group has a history of launching
statewide initiatives such as Students Against Driving Drunk and
Project Graduation. We are excited to see what the youth will
create during this upcoming session!
"Your Next Wave" Women's Retreat - October 2009
Women wear many
hats; worker, entrepreneur, wife, mother, friend, social activist. It is so
easy to become consumed in the DOINGNESS of our lives that we fail to stop and
BE. The Women's "Your Next Wave" Retreat invites you to take a break, center
yourself in yourself, and then "squint" at your life. We believe that we all
have an obligation to take control of our own lives, look at what we want to
